Jake Rakennus is proud to be a part of a new, exciting project at the power plant in Jakobstad. The assignment involves constructing the new building that will house Energibolaget Alholmens Kraft’s major investment: two electric boilers with a combined output of 120 MW. The entire investment is valued at approximately 10 million euros and will be fully completed in the spring of 2027.

When the facility is completed, the electric boilers will produce process steam and district heating during times when electricity is cheap, with a very high efficiency where almost all electrical energy is converted into heat. The boilers’ high flexibility, with the possibility of precise power adjustment as well as fast start and stop cycles, places high demands on the surrounding building-technical environment being planned and executed with precision.
